LTC, LED & UNO Release IT Survey of 10-Parish NOLA Region
The Louisiana Technology Council, with a grant from the Louisiana Economic Development and support by the University of New Orleans, conducted an Information Technology (IT) Skills Survey across the 10-parish New Orleans region and found it is rich in skilled workers and the technology industry can grow significantly if it gains more investment for research and development.
Special thanks to Dr. Cherie C. Trumbach and Dr. Tim Ryan of UNO, the folks at LED and David Claiborne of the Claiborne Company for their support and efforts in putting this report together.
Louisiana Economic Development has awarded a $165,000 grant to a Louisiana Technology Council program that assists small businesses and nonprofits in areas impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
