New Horizons CLC will deliver a presentation on the available funding sources for workforce development training grants in the State of Louisiana. The state has several opportunities where your company can take advantage of funding to train your employees.
The presentation will focus on two grants, the Small Business Employee Training Grant (SBET) and the Incumbent Worker Training Grant (IWTP). Each grant has specific advantages and are a great resource for your organization. New Horizons has worked as a Primary Training provider administering and managing these grants for over 7 years. They will discuss the process for you to apply and receive the training through the program.
Join us to see how your company can benefit from a program that could catapult your employees to the next level. Training under these grants can include any specialty or proprietary need that your organization may have to grow your business, while offering your employees specialized training.
A representative from the City of New Orleans' JOB1 office will also be in attendance to discuss the services they provide. JOB1 is a private-public partnership that facilitates workforce development in our City. Employer needs are assessed and categorized, training programs are identified and developed, and prospective employees are connected to the appropriate action. This partnership is an intelligent coordination of supply and demand, serving the needs of its two primary customers - businesses and people seeking jobs.
